I am still curious as to a decent lod build. Holy haste (the one that halves healing spell cast time seems a must). I just don't know how I should set the rest of the build incase I try to use this in some hm dungeons.

Its not really worth it imo. It was a good elite in its time but its not worth sacrificing any form of prot on your monks bar for it.

I posted a similar setup a while back, using 2 smiting signet heroes with holy wrath and retribution combined with a smiter's boon monk. it worked ok, might need a bit of work, if it works for you. all the power to you.

I'd been thinking about [wiki]Holy Wrath[/wiki] + signets heroes, but wasn't sure on how, and if, the heroes would use this maintained enchantment or that they'd have to be micro-ed. I suppose giving it try would make it clearer.
A signet smiter could pack utils like [wiki]Purge Signet[/wiki], which would combine nicely with Draw Conditions on a Protective-smiter.
Edit: here's that smite thread btw.

Good builds for human monks aren't always a good build for monk ai (zealous benediction never casted under 50% health, aegis/ 10 energy skills will be spammed instead of used liberally).

There are only a few instances when I use an LoD hero. LoD needs Holy Haste otherwise the AI just spends way too much time casting it. The reason I don't like this is because Holy Haste means you can't really bring other enchantments with you, which means the old LoD Hybrid monk bar is broken.

I Agree with this. Smiter's Boon seems like a wasted slot in this build.

I agree, smiter's boon isnt really needed. If you added Smite Hex/Condition then it might have a use, other than that it could be better filled.

I think [wiki]Smiter's Boon[/wiki] combines best several skills from [wiki]Smite Hex[/wiki],[wiki]Smite Condition[/wiki], [wiki]Reversal of Damage[/wiki], [wiki]Judge's Intervention[/wiki] and [wiki]Shield of Judgement[/wiki]. A bit like a Smiting version of a Boon Prot.

Heehee, I ran something very similar to this when I decided to tackle Shards. Works really well I found, not taken it many others places though so nice to here it's a good all rounder.
